Tip: results are fully random each time โ€” great for keeping turn order fair.

About this tool

A dinosaur-themed version of the random order race โ€” same fair mechanic as the classic Race Timer, with a prehistoric cast of racers stomping toward the finish line. Type in your student list, hit start, and let the dinosaurs decide who goes first.

This one's a natural fit if your class is in the middle of an animals, prehistory, or science unit โ€” it doubles as a bit of incidental vocabulary reinforcement (dinosaur names, habitats, extinct vs. living animals) while still doing the practical job of generating a fair, random order for presentations, reading turns, or line-up. It also tends to land well with younger classes simply because dinosaurs are a reliable crowd-pleaser.

Like every race on this site, it's fully random each time, works for any class size from 2 students up, needs no sign-up, and can be reset and re-run as many times as you like in a single lesson.
