About this tool

A red-envelope-themed random picker — tap the envelope, and a name is revealed with the same fair no-repeat logic as every other picker on this site: once a name's been drawn, it's set aside until the rest of the class has had a turn too.

The lucky envelope framing borrows from a gift-giving tradition many students will recognize, which tends to make the picking moment feel like a small event rather than just a mechanical process — useful when you want cold-calling to carry a bit of anticipation instead of feeling like a chore for whoever gets picked. Works well for warm-ups, review questions, or handing out a small in-class reward or task to a randomly selected student.
